Donations to the Campus Relief Fund for Tornado Assistance will provide financial relief to LSU Health New Orleans faculty, staff, residents, fellows and students affected by the tornadoes in the state-declared disaster areas. Fundraising has already begun, and 100% of the monies raised will go to tornado relief assistance.

This same area was devastated by the flooding following Katrina, so many are now having to start over again.

"Our support can do a world of good, both in helping to replace some of what was lost and sending a message of your heartfelt support," says Dr. Larry Hollier, LSU Health New Orleans Chancellor.

Details about the application process will be distributed as soon as they are finalized. In the meantime, you can make your donation online, via check or credit card. To learn more about how you can donate, click here.

Coffee for a Cause
The LSU Health New Orleans Faculty Senate is also raising money for the Campus Relief Fund for Tornado Assistance. Borrowing a page from the School of Nursing, the Senate is sponsoring Coffee for a Cause get-togethers the third Friday of the month from 7:00 -9:00 a.m. in the Chancellor's Reception Room next to the cafeteria. Faculty from all schools are invited to enjoy treats, coffee and collegiality before the hustle and bustle of the day begins. The $2 donation supports relief efforts for members of the LSU Health New Orleans family.
